Best Of: Design Inspo Pt. 1

As someone who spends a majority of their time online, I am always looking for new places to visit and, since I am also a creative type, I especially like sites that are brimming with inspiration. Interior design and architectural design have been an interest of mine since I was really young (probably too young) and are honestly a big part of the reason I am obsessed with Pinterest (my House & Home board has more than 10k pins)! So with that, I thought I’d go ahead and share some of my design favs with all of you in case you’re also looking for a little inspo. I’m starting with my favourite sites that are great for people just starting to really get in to design and who are still figuring out what they like and what their style is. Keep reading to check out my picks for part I!

MyDomain

MyDomain is probably the first place that I go when I’m looking for new design inspo. They share up-to-the-minute design trends and industry news as well as tips and tricks to get the space of your dreams (whatever your style may be). I love that they give tons of tips on how to get a beautiful space but understand a realistic price tag.

Lonny

Lonny is like my dream. It’s cool and edgy and full of celebrity home tours! I am such a snoopy person and so getting to peak in to people’s homes – celebrity homes – is everything. Even though I’d never be able to afford any of the things they have, it’s a great way to gather inspiration to use when shopping on a budget! Or, browse through their regular-people home tours! They’re all photographed beautifully and have a similar easy, laid-back kind of vibe that I desperately try and emulate.

Apartment Therapy

Like Lonny, Apartment Therapy is also full of home tours but what’s cool is that you can filter them by space type or geographically to help make them as applicable to you as necessary; it’s also really cool to peak at spaces from all over the world! I also like that these are usually reader-submitted so they’re aren’t too inaccessible.
